Faculty Development
I seek ways to help students make meaningful connections between their multilingual and translingual knowledge of the world and the various academic discourses that they encounter in their studies. I encourage students to view themselves as designers of meaning and develop an ecological perspective towards cultures, languages, forms, and modalities.
Teaching
I work closely with writing teachers and faculty across disciplines to enhance their multilingual pedagogies. I design workshops focused on curriculum design, assignments, classroom activities, and assessments to foster faculty’s ongoing professional development and promote effective multilingual teaching practices.
Research
My interdisciplinary research agenda examines the issues of language and academic literacy development of multilingual students, as well as the dynamics of teaching and learning within the interconnected relations of classrooms, technologies, and sociocultural contexts in a multilingual and postdigital world.
