About Me
I am an Assistant Professor in AI and Rhetoric in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric at Stony Brook University. Before joining Stony Brook, I was a Multilingual Writing Specialist & Assistant Professor of Writing at Colby College, Maine.
Faculty Development
My teaching and research inform each other. My pedagogy is deeply shaped by my commitment to fostering critical AI literacy to cultivate students’ rhetorical agency, critical awareness, and ethical engagement with AI across contexts, tasks, languages, and modalities.
Teaching
I work closely with writing instructors and faculty across disciplines to enhance their multilingual pedagogies. I design workshops focused on curriculum design, assignments, and assessments to foster faculty’s ongoing professional development and promote effective multilingual teaching practices in response to AI related challenges and opportunities.
Research
My current research examines AI and multilingual literacy from the intersecting perspectives of literacy studies, applied linguistics, and educational technologies.
